How To

How to make a perfect eggroll

Omelets are one of my favorite foods to eat at breakfast. How can you make them perfectly? I have tried many different recipes and methods, but none of them work. So I wanted to share some tips and tricks so that you can make delicious, fluffy omelets every morn.

It is important to know that eggs can be temperamental when making omelets. It is important that eggs are fresh from an organic market and kept cool until used. If they are not kept cold enough, the whites won’t form properly. The yolks will also break down too quickly and become runny. This will make your omelets appear strangely colored. If you intend to cook your eggs immediately, it's best to use room-temperature egg.

Another tip is to separate each egg before adding them to the saucepan. Because this could cause your omelet to become curdled, you don't want any yolk to be mixed with any white.

You might burn the bottom of the egg if you place the egg directly on the stovetop. This could ruin the texture of your omelet. Instead, heat the egg for 10 seconds in the microwave before placing it in the pan. The microwave heat cooks the eggs just right without overcooking them.

Next, let's talk about mixing the eggs. Mixing eggs together is important. You need to beat them well. You can do this by turning the bowl of your mixer upside down. Next, shake the bowl vigorously. This way, the air inside the bowl gets whipped around and mixes the egg thoroughly.

The fun part is now - adding the milk to the mixture. Mix half of the milk with the eggs. Then fold the eggs in half into the remaining milk. Do not worry if you see streaks of egg; they will disappear when the omelet is flipped.

After you have folded the eggs, heat the oil in a pan over medium heat. Once the oil has started to sizzle, turn the heat down to low. Once the oil starts getting hot, add 1/4 cup of butter to the pan and swirl it around to coat the entire surface of the pan. Open the lid and sprinkle salt on the pan. A pinch of salt will prevent your omelet from sticking in the pan.

Once the omelet has formed completely, cover the pan and let it set for a few minutes. Use a spatula to flip the omelet or turn the pan upside-down. Cook the opposite side for another minute. Serve immediately after removing the omelet from its pan.

This recipe is best when used with whole milk. But, you can use skimmed milk as well.
